No major updates, but got the pulley and rotors remounted today, off to be balanced tomorrow, then back on the bike! Maybe I'll actually make a little progress on the speedo relo tomorrow as well.....
I've been checking this posting every few days. Looking forward to seeing your Speedo Bracket completed.
You previously mentioned having your wheels balanced. Have you heard of Dyna Beads? http://www.innovativebalancing.com Great product! Keeps tires balanced for the life of the tire regardless of tire wear.
I am signing up on this thread to see how this thing ends up. I have to say I like it so far.
I'm having a little trouble understanding how looking down in the direction of your foot to see speed, is an improvement from looking a few degrees down from straight ahead. If it was a major appearance enhancement, I could see making that compromise, but this is looking more like unnecessary clutter.

Patience grasshopper........you will see the finished product soon!
I actually have dyna beads for it, and am running them in my jeep tires. Not entirely happy with them in the jeep, and just decided to have a real balance done instead.

The point of the bracket is not ergonomics. It's to get that ugly *** stock dash off the tank. The rocker just happens to be a convenient place to put the speedo. I rarely need to look at the speedo, and if I do it's a split second glance. I seriously doubt my safety will be compromised. Plus it looks better, it's original, and I built it instead of buying a part off a shelf.
