Default Powervision Auto Tune question

I have read a lot on the new option to autotune using the basic setting with the stock O2 sensors.
After reading much and looking at the videos i have a question.
Early in the process they say to pick a tune to use as a baseline for the tune process. I only have 2 tunes loaded which are the tune from Fuel-Moto and the stock tune. My concern is that if i choose the tune from FM is that i will lose it.
Should I up load the tune from the ECM into another slot and just use that , or will it allow me to save the Auto tune run as another tune after it is created?

This isn't a direct answer to your question as I'm not that familiar with the PV, but, can't you backup the map files from your PV to your computer? Then you can download them back to the PV at any time.

I'm not too sure, I do think that i could copy the FM tune that is flashed currently and save it to another slot. I'm just not sure.

That's what you want to do, then after a tune run, make all your changes to that one, you can change the name also.

First save that FM tune on your computer in the WinPV program. You will never lose that tune on your PV tuner unless you overwrite that tune with another tune in whichever of the six tune slots you are using.

Thanks, I'll try that as well just to have a copy of both tunes on file.

Thank you as well for your quick response.

Have a good holiday!

I have the Powervision and love it. Have not messed with the new autotune yet but probably will play with it some this winter and get used to it. But yes as others stated can save to computer or put on another slot. Also their is a killer thread already on it , but be warned its massive lol,
