Mimo, u ended going with the boom?? I was so looking forward to your custom setup thread that I'm researching now. 5.25 buckets with either alpine type r's or hertz speakers with an external amp. It is a lot of work though and a lot of cash
I just got my 5 3/4 headlight buckets in and just need to buy the extension rings for the buckets. Now its a matter of finding what decent speakers fit in the buckets and amp placement. So far during my research ive seen that the Alpine type R subwoofer/tweeter fit in there I believe 6" and ive also read that the Hertz 5.25 woofer/tweeter fit in there. Just need to play around with speaker setups now
I have inherited the Boom audio from my brother, and he has a 11 Road King. I have a 07 heritage, and have everything hooked up, well except for one component, the amp. With his Road King, he needed a certain bracket to mount the amp to the frame, and well the heritage takes another bracket to do the same thing. Well long story short, the bracket I need is no longer around...so does anyone have specs on making this bracket? Or a site where it can be purchased? Thanks a ton in advance

can you share a parts list for the buckets and cost? I cant get an answer from any shop that sells the kit for $300+, I know it's gotta be around $150 in parts not $300.
Waiting for stuff to come in, hertz hcx130-5.25's, hertz st44, 2 pairs of hertz sv200.1 and 2 hertz hdp4 amps... going in hard bags.

Yea bro, I hear you on that, no way parts are an excessive amount. Take ddcustom speaker setups for non baggers. They want $500 for 2 buckets, 2 extension trim rings, and 2 alpine type r 6.5 midwoofer/ tweeter speaker. Doesn't even include the amp. I assume the excessive amount is speaker modification but its still an excessive amount if u ask me. So far I paid $66 for both 5 3/4 teardrop headlight buckets and $150 for focal 6.5 inch woofer/tweeter combo. Currently my buddy is making the modification to the speakers to fit. As far as amp the smallest two channel I found that hits is the rockford fosgate punch amp for $144. So in total including the amp is roughly around $260 but at least includes the amp as well.
Got a brand and part # on the buckets? Are they for 5.25 or 6.5?
They are neither, they are 5 3/4 or the 5.75 for metric folks. Brand is midwest and I got the part number at home so give me a few on that. I'll post some pictures in a bit to show u how the 6.5 speakers fit in the bucket
