Samson cholos and performance issues????
- Hey Tony, if performance was never an issue for you, then why can I find pages upon pages of you asking about loss of performance and second guessing buying these pipes due to loss of performance haha. Sometimes I think you might like to listen to yourself talk...just bustin ur ***** a lil because Im bored...but im just sayin
Bottom line if you like the look then it wont disappoint.
But to show the difference again when U put long pipes on a Bike, this is what it does to the TQ Under 3K rpms VS other systems..
Son had both a new 07 Deuce and 09 NT.
He had the same cams (SE 204's)and stg1 mods (SE/AC. SERT, Dyno and V&H's pipes) done to both bikes.
Both bike were done at the same dealership, By the same PHD Master HD Wrench, and tuned on the same dyno machine. So they were as close as U can get, except for the Pipes...
Only difference was the Deuce had (V&H's BR's 2-2's)
And the NT had (V&H's BSL's).
Heres the Dyno sheet of the Deuce with BR's 2-2s
U can see that at 2500rpm's it made 87 #'s of TQ.. U have to come in from the right side of this sheet to read the TQ.
Here's his 09 NT with the longer BSL's. It shows it only made 70#'s of TQ at 2500rpms..
So at 2500 rpms the V&H's Longer BSL's made 17#'s of TQ less (70) than the BR's2-2's (87#'s of TQ) .
Do the math,, That almost a 20% drop in TQ. with the longer pipes at 2500rpms..
Also notice how much flatter the line is across the sheet with the BR's 2-2's vs the BSL's.. and the BSL's even have the V&H's crossover that's help's whereas the 2-2's dont'.
On a light bike and a light weight rider U won't notice all that much diff..
If U ride 2 up and are a bigger guy and load up Ur bike for a trip, Then U'd notice the difference a lot more loss in the lower RPM's.
