Just ordered assembly lube from Amazon. I have the Amazon Prime because I'm also a student.
It was 5.95 for a 4 oz bottle, with free two day shipping. And just because I was already there, I also threw in a stick of blue Loctite. Seems working on a Harley, you can never have enough blue Loctite.
Scott at Hillside told me to use non synthetic 20W-50 for assembly. Of course this was after I picked up some assy lube. Also suggested I use non-synthetic for break in.

Hope you don't find anything unexpected. The breather hoses on mine are pretty cracked, so far the only thing I didn't plan on.
Ha, I always come across something I don't expect. Kinda how I ended up going to a 98" build!
I just had the Springer apart last year, so things are in pretty good shape all around.
Are you talking about the little rubber plugs for the breather bolts that drain any blow-by oil back into the AC filter? My 03 Springer doesn't have any other breather hoses...
If so, I just added them last winter with the new AC that I put on, and they're still in good shape. I see this bike picking up more miles this year. Last summer, it spent some long down time while I got the jockey shift and true duals to play nice together. Didn't help matters that I also installed a chrome inner primary...
