Additionally, as Clint Eastwood states in one of his movies...." A man has got to know his limitations...."

At least until you learn to ride

I rode mine home... for the 2 weeks leading up to me picking her up we had really nice riding weather... the day I picked her up it was cold and started raining (of course!)... and that crappy weather stuck around for over a month! It mattered not... I was riding MY HArley, and I was HAPPY!!

Cheers!

It's your decision. Do what your comfortable with.

It was pouring the day I signed the papers on my bike, but there was no way I was leaving that dealership without it. I rode mine.

Oh definitely.. In November, nice cool evening. Left my truck in the dealer's lot. Got it tucked in for beddie bye in the garage just as it started POURING the rain. Fabulous timing! Went back for my truck, came back and staired at, walked around and grinned at the bike for an hour. [sm=drooldude.gif]

I actually trailered my new one home. Was supposed to ride it home but as usual in Florida, it rained all day and I didn't really want to be soaked on a new bike for 140 miles. All my other bikes I have riden home.

Has everyone here rode there bike home after purchasing it or have you made other arrangements to get the bike home (ie) delivery, towing, etc? Thanks.

hb
Had mine delivered on their trailer.

I had not riden a motorcycle for 25 years and wasnt about to risk making an *** of myself
by stalling it or jerking it around the parking lot in front of a bunch of seasoned riders

Funny thread. I just brought mine home today. Went through the control and alarm explanation with the salesman while I was putting on my jacket, gloves, shades and helmet. Brand new bike sitting there running, nice weather, he is going on...and....on...blah...blah....blah. Finally, I couldn't wait any longer, said I gotta go man, dropped it into first and blasted out of the parking lot.

Clear, dry, sunny day?? You gots to ride it. How could you wait? Cold, rainy, snowy day? And you can't wait one more minute to get it into the garage? Deliver, please. Either way, now it's all yours and that's what counts.
