In December I purchased my first HD Slim. Loved it for the first 400 miles, then this past weekend I heard an awful clanking sound coming from the primary. I took it to the dealer and then the bad news came. When they installed the new black primary cover, they forgot to refill the transmission fluid. Needless to say, I am now getting a new clutch, chain, sprocket, chain tensioner and a bunch of other little stuff. And it is all being performed at their cost.
Moral of the story.....double check all work performed by a dealer.
Always do that myself..very first time i took mine in my rocker box got scratched to hell.. a week later i was rolling with a fresh one..luckily we have a new manager at the local shop who seems to be all about keeping loyal customers..
I have had simillar experiences, I let the dealer do the first few mods for me, although they were not as serious as yours. Stripped threads in brand new parts, pinched wires, wrong tune installed, and to top it off they scratched my rims. The guys that did this stuff are no longer there but the service writer covered ther asses and he can't stand me because I'm a mechanic I can see right through his BS and I question him about everything they have done. Haven't been back and I will push my bike home before I would let them put air in my tires. Everybody makes mistakes, I do understand that, at least yours is owning up to it and taking care of you. Good luck!!

Oh yes, they are definitely taking care of the problem without out any problems. I have a feeling they will now double check their own work.
