Default New to me

Hey everybody. I was a member around 5 years ago. At the time I had a sporty that I loved. It was dragonfly green, had 18" apes, powder coated motor... I digress... It was stolen, from right out font of my home. Here i am 5 years later, the proud owner of a '90 heritage. I always wanted one, and while saving for a house this is the one that was in my price range. Speedo says 37k, looks to be taken care of but I have a few questions.
I understand 80" evos are known to leak, is oil in the air cleaner something to worry about?
The turn signals light up but don't blink like a normal turn signal, suggestions on what to check?
Any suggestions on brighter head lights?

Thanks for any help, I'm sure ill have a few more questions along the way but if this forum is how I remember than ill be just fine.

Thanks in advance

Enjoy the new ride and excellent choice on the EVO!

My EVO doesn't leak. Mine has been a very solid motor.

Where is "in the aircleaner?" The throttle body or the filer element itself?

Check the wiring at the main panel. I had a break in a wire at a relay under the seat that resulted in turn signals going on but not blinking.

You could get a quality HID bulb or spend much more the a LED unit. Trucklite makes a great LED. Do a search. There are tons of threads on the HID / LED lights.

thanks for the responses. its wet underneath the filter. i bought it and drove it about 100 miles home and havent been able to get to my buddies house where im storing it since. now that im thinking about it i think i remeber there being a "wet" air filter... i dont know maybe, maybe not. hopefully it warms up a bit and i can get to it and give her a solid once over. im just stoked to be back on a bike. Anything i should be particularly aware of or check for on her?

does the evo have those vent/purge holes at where the air cleaner assembly bolts onto also? My buddy slightly overfilled his oil and it was blowing out and collecting on the lower side of his air cleaner when we were on mile 70 from a 200 mile trip
We pulled over to clean his filter and everything else to get her to run right again.
