Fancy name for a choke isn't it? Especially considering it says choke on the **** lol. Anyways, you would think the engineers over at Harley would have put more thought into making something that gets pushed and pulled with every ride out of something a little more durable than plastic. Well mine finally bit the dust today at the gas station and I was bumbling around the house trying to figure out how to fix this without replacing the whole enricher and going back with an inferior designed **** and without spending a lot of money on something so small. Myself being a musician I had a lot of spare parts laying around and grabbed up some old guitar ***** that attach with allen set screws and now I've got a little custom flare to my bike lol. The only question remains is do I go with black or chrome?
Thought I'd share this incase others ever break theirs (accidentally or on purpose) and want a cheap alternative.
A quick search for "Dome Guitar *****" will show you there are a lot of ways to add a little custom flare to yours if you want, and for cheap. You can pretty much go in any guitar store and buy the ones I have pictured for about $2 per.

That's because it is not a choke. A choke uses a secondary butterfly plate to restrict the air flow into the engine thus increasing the AFR.
An enrichener, like on H-D's of late, opens a secondary fuel port that bypasses the butterfly and increases the amount of fuel.
Choke= less air, same fuel, increase AFR.
Enrichener= more fuel, same air, increase AFR.
It says choke on the **** because the typical layperson wouldn't know the difference seeing as they both achieve the same end, and it was carried over from when Harleys DID have a choke. It's been over 20 years since a factory HD had a choke plate on it.
