Default Rode a breakout at work today

Deleted since not everyone can handle reading an objective review of a motorcycle. Any ill handling effects I noticed are apparently due to my lack of experience and ability as a rider. Sorry if I wasted any ones's time.

I think with the almost chopper type style everythign you mention was to be expected. Good to know though. I heard a lot that the CVO bars are a lot better.

They put the same feeler pegs that came on the Rocker/C. Ditch those and gain at least an inch of clearance.
I'm 5'8" with a 32" inseam. Unless they changed the foot control position from what came on the Rockers, I find it perfect for me.

Even the Rocker's drag style bars were not to my tastes. So I did what very few do with HDs... I changed them out to bars that fit me.

As to the 240mm, it requires a little more input than a narrower tire but is easy for me at least to ride twisty roads or slow in town, parking lots maneuvers.

I hated those pegs! Damn curb feelers LOL
Pretty much sounds like everyone's thoughts on a stock FXCW/FXCWC

I'm with Kowan on this one. I own a breakout at 6'1" with 34" inseam. I personally like the dragbars and I find the bike fits me pefect (no problems puting in 150 mile ride before stopping). I come for a purely sportbike background (15 years). So I tend to think I'm an aggressive rider and I have no problems on twisty roads or parking lots. Last ride I was leaving the street glides behind in the curves. All I can say is one ride is not enough to judge the bike. But I don't expect it to handle like my GSXR either.

"One ride is not enough to judge the bike" .....I'm here to tell ya guy, it is. I have put a mile or two on in my riding career. And, from a sales stand point, the bike has to be impressive even on one ride. We have a test ride route that purposely has some straights, some twisties, and interstate. So we do give the bikes the opportunity to shine in all areas. I wasn't bagging on the bike, just giving an opinion on it from the viewpoint of someone who rides. I ride everyday. Up until a month ago, I didn't even have a cage. If you have one and like it, good. I can tell you, we haven't sold one yet. Even the cvo models we have had we have dealer traded....

I know I'd ditch the bars on the non CVO in a hurry. But I do like the looks of the bike and I don't think the handling would bother me since I used to own a chopper with a 280 in the back. I like the Breakout better than any of the newer models I've seen in awhile.

I agree on the "one ride isn't enough". I have hoped on bikes I couldn't wait to get off of it. If I couldn't wait to get off of it I don't seem me wanting to get back on it. I think that 1st ride is the most important ride. I also know to keep an open mind because there is allot out there to do up a bike with. I still say the 1st time I seen a BO it reminded me of my old 75 super glide. I don't know why, it just did.

A lot of how a rider initially likes a bike will depend on what they're used to.

A 240 wide rear tire isn't a problem for handling or cornering at all. It's just different, and needs to be learned. The same size is on the V-rod now.
