Default 3" forward control extensions

I just installed a set of Arlen Ness 3" forward control extensions and they are awesome. I cant believe how much more comfortable the ride is. They were super simple to install and came with all necessary hardware. The hardest part was removing old torx bolts in the existing location. They have a thread lock the yellow factory stuff and for me torx seem to slip easily and you have to apply downward pressure which is hard to do sideways with bike up on a lift. Don't have a lift table yet. The new kit moves the pegs 3" forward and about 1" out so you get a really awesome ride.
Best part was you have to change the rear brake line and I never think about flushing my brake system but based on the amount of nasty fluid (Dark some yellowish small clumps) that came out of the caliper alone (since line was all new) I decided to do front too.
To all the DIY people out there if you havent flushed your break fluid in awhile I highly recommend it.

Does the kit come with a longer shift rod?

Digging up this old thread.

I installed forward control on my Fatboy Lo from an '09 Night Train. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the Arlen Ness Kit. While I gained additional room with the forward controls, I still need more room. Hoping this kit will do the trick.

Anyone used the kit (07-616) for ABS?

Flushing the brakes is always a good reminder.

I installed the same extension kit on my 03 Train. My only complaint was that the brake lever was too far forward and difficult for me to use. Had to fabricate a curved brake lever to being the pedal a little closer and at a different angle. Photo attached.
