Hey Everyone,
I just ordered 16" black Dukes handlebars from hardtailchoppers.com. I am installing them on a 2012 blackline w/o ABS. Has anyone done this install? Does anyone know what length cables, brake line, electrical extensions I will need to order? Any help is appreciated. I'm sure this answer has been given before, but I couldn't find it searching the forum. Thanks, Joe
I used the cable kit from LA Choppers for my Todds strip bars for my blackline. Used the 12-14 mini apes kit and had lots left over, not sure enough to use for 16's but i am sure the next size up would be fine for you.
For electrical, you should have enough slack in the oem line but if you're worried you won't, namz makes a great plug and play extension set for use.
Thanks! I'll definitely check those out. Your blackline looks good, I like those pipes! I went with Vance and Hines short shots, but now I am thinking I might want to go with a 2 into 1, not sure yet. I almost went with the todd's cycles bars as well, but went with the Dukes last minute. Can't wait to get them on.

Cheers,
I looked at their website and it said the 12"-14" cable kit is based on a 1.5" riser. The blackline has no riser, so I am thinking if it will work for a 14" with 1.5" riser, it should work for a 16" with no riser. I mean, it is only .5" difference, right? Thoughts? I'm thinking this kit http://www.lachoppers.com/catalog/di...879/index.html
I used the 12 - 14 kit for my 12's and I had leftover, i just weaved the cable around abit to make up the slack. You should be good to go since i think the apes they measure for are wider then the dukes or strip bars.
I talked to the guy on the phone and he said they should work, he just wasn't too reassuring...LOL. I'm gonna go with em, we will see what happens. Thanks for the input. I'll get picks up in a few weeks, when I get it done.

I got the bars on, got the electrical ran internally. Came up about 3" short on the electrical wiring. Ordered the set from NAMZ so should be good to go on that. No big deal, I'm still waiting for the cables from lachoppers as well. I took the tank completely off and the front fender. Way more gas in the tank than I expected, oops. HAHA Anyways, tomorrow I will get the exhaust and air cleaner off. So far I have the bars mounted with internals ran and controls mounted. So far, has been a pretty straight forward job, and I am by no means super mechanically talented. Will post pics soon. I love the look of the bars!
