I was asking. .. my deuce has 8k miles. And noticed last fall that it was about maxed out on tensioner bought it last spring.... belt doesn't seem overly tight. But I'm afraid that PO tightened the **** out of it. And now its probably stretched. But gonna loosen it and find out doing tires this weekend...

If the tensioner are maxed out there might be something else going on. If I had to guess I would venture to say the P/O may have swapped a front pulley to a 30 tooth versus the stock 32 for better acceleration. Very common mod with the FX Softail as well as the Dyna guys. I swapped the other way to a 34 tooth. Though my tensioner are not maxed out by any means, they are certainly closer to being maxed than when I had the stock pulley. Just a thought.
