05 heritage shock adjustment
The other one will only turn about one turn either way.The lock nut is loose. The can is turning on both shocks.
Any suggestions.
Jim
When I adjust my shocks the can turns on both of them.
I placed an alignment mark on it so when I adjust them for solo or 2-up I know where I'm at.
I will say that I typically leave it at the "2-up" position unless I'm going on an extended solo ride. That position is almost all the way out minus 1 turn I believe. I'm at 250 .lbs and the Wife at 135 so with a 12-pack we're riding at around 400 .lbs.
As for one can only making one turn. I'm not expert mind you, but I'd guess that the threads are "gummed" up and perhaps you could spray some WD40 into the shock and then take some serious muscle to it to break it free.
Remember I'm no shock expert, I'm just saying what I would probably do.
Good luck and make sure you post the fix when you figure it out.
Ride safe!!!!!
