I just purchase the michelin commander II for my front tire 113.00 at Dennis Kirk received it in 2 days and it rides really good. the reviews were a 4.7 out of 5 for ride and long mileage. (130/90/60)

Reason: more info
On my sporty I hated the Dunlops - at the recommendation of the shop I was at, I went with Mich Commander on the rear when my 2nd lop was up and it was like night and day for me. I felt so much more confident with the MC, my wife even commented on the feel when 2up.
I have pretty much decided to finish off the front with another Dunlap. The rear has 8200 miles on it. Then I will change both to Michelin Commander II's. If they work as I think they should I will stick with them.
If the Michelin's don't satisfy me I am going back to Avon's. I will go with the Cobra's. I know Avon's and how they handle on the road.
I prefer to go with traction more than mileage. Traction safety is more important than mileage for my type of riding.
Thanks for all of the comments. They were interesting to read.

fdb2007,, I am getting about the same wear so far on my first 2k on the Mich,C's II's.
If I get 10 as I have the first 4 Lops 401's on the rear I'll be OK, but not happy... I was hoping to get 12-15K out of the Commander II's...
If the MICH's II's only go 10K I'll be going back to the LOP'S 401's on the rear and 402's on the front (which I got 20k easy and they could have went more).
it was time for tires on my 10' Fatboy Lo and I went w Pirelli Night Dragons.. Incredibl the way the hug the corners and how good they feel.. Absolutely Love 'em.. I will never go back to Dunlops..

Yep... once you ride the Dragon, you can never switch again
