Last night I dropped the rear of my 02 heritage about 1.5 inches with progressive 422. Install was not bad at all but now I got some issues. First off I just took a short ride and seems like I am scraping pipes (v&h long shots) every time I turn right. The bigger problem is I pull into the garage and smell a burning smell. Didn't know what it was, don't think it is rubber but it has got me real concerned. Cranked up this morning and smelled the burning again. Anybody got any ideas?
Not every time, but if I hit a bump or a dip even at low speeds in a turn they scrape. Doesn't help that I put tips on them either. The price for looking "stylish."
Oh... And like others said, check wiring under the rear fender for the burning smell. Also, For some reason these things don't like to line up straight- especially when they're lowered. Check your rear fender bolts for rubbing on the rear tire.
