Just to give you an idea, most windshield measurements are taken from the top of the headlight housing, not the bottom of the cutout.
Mine is exactly 18" (as shown), but only 17.25" or so if I measure from the cutout to the top...
If you're undecided, just get the taller one.
You can always cut it down to suit - it's just plexiglass...
Thanks for the pic for reference I think that's about the height I want so I'll get the 19" and trim it down a bit if needed.

I'm 5'9" and the 18"er places the top edge directly in my line of sight if I sit upright.
It can be annoying - but if I sit in my usual bar-stool slouch I'm looking through it, about 2" from the top. YMMV.
The Switchback I had last year came with a 16" shield and I was able to look over that comfortably, with the air flow traveling just over my head.
I've been thinking about getting the Long Ride Shields 16" replacement just to try it out.
They're always running sales, right now in fact it's 30% off for a Recurve Road King Shield.
For $115 I may have to jump on it...
After trimming several windshields I finally started using a belt sander. It's much, much easier and you don't have to worry about cracking or scratching it. Finished edge looks like factory if not better.
Hope this might help someone.
