amsoil 20-50 in engine and primary, spectro in tranny except this last change... drained tranny and realized i had no more spectro so i used (without hesitation) amsoil 20-50 in it too.
had a friend who was **** about oil analysis... hence the amsoil
I flush my engine with each and every oil change. You can go to their website and find where to get it or you can order it. Yes, it's expensive but you get what you [pay for.
Heard lots of different responses on what lubricants everyone is using in all 3 holes and it appears no one has had a bad experience? Anybody out there have a, "learn from my mistake" story?
The only bad story I have is that I have always used Amsoil in all 3 holes. I then had a guy tell me that the Redline tranny fluid stuff is the best on the market. I thought, what the hell, I'll give it a try then. My bike went from shifting like butter to shifting like a piece of crap, instantly. I couldn't get that stuff out of my bike soon enough. I flushed my tranny, put my Amsoil 75/90 gear lube back in and it was back to shifting like butter, smooth as silk and nearly dead silent.
Just ordered some amsoil 20/50 and amsoil 75/90 for my scooter. Thanks for the recommendations all. Expensive oil is cheaper than an expensive motor or tranny.
