We took the long way home to swing by this place that has the elk. (The first place we went by has llamas, but they were all in hiding from the rain - couldn't get a decent shot...)
Anyway, don't really have a story, per se, but it was a good reason to ride the extra 20 miles or so.

Sad story - about 10 years ago, I started having problems digesting steak. Sucked bad, 'cause I *LOVE* a good piece of prime rib. Got to a point where I was in severe pain any time I ate beef at all - even a hamburger or what little was in pepperoni on a pizza. Finally got to where I couldn't even deal with French Onion soup, 'cause it has beef broth in it, and I had to be careful eating out, because chicken would be grilled on the same flat top as a burger.
I haven't had an actual burger in like 7 years.
I can eat venison and elk in small portions. Elk, to me, is a serious treat, along with boar. Don't know why...
Fortunately, I have a father-in-law who LIVES to hunt, and goes on an annual pilgrimage to CO to get an elk. The guy almost never gets skunked on a hunt - takes like 20 deer a season, and feeds everyone.
And on a side note, (Ragnar) where can those zombie garden gnomes be found? Those things are awesome! I'd love to decorate my front yard with those.

As for me, I have entirely too much free time on my hands...
I do ride a LOT, and all over, and have always kept an eye open for different or strange things. That my wife finds this challenge thing to be at least as much of a safe, fun distraction as I do is a bonus - I'd have to give her credit for a few of the finds or the challenge ideas.
Aren't they wicked? First time I saw some was on Etsy, and they were bizarre. If I had some, I'd probably leave them up all year! I already have a little concrete skeleton laying down in the rocks by my shop. Sounds like Jam found a source for some. I haven't seen them in person anywhere yet, but you can bet that I'll be hard pressed to leave without them if I find them at a reasonable price. Last year, there were some at ShopKo (similar to WalMart, I guess), that was a male, female, and dog skeleton gnomes, about 1 foot tall. They were around $50 each, so I passed, then missed out on the clearance after the season. Why someone didn't want them for a Christmas gift is beyond me - I'd have loved it!
. Just kidding it is cool to see the thread move so quickly. I was gonna get a zebra for the last challenge but I couldn't get there until Sunday. The zombie gnomes are at the Spirit Halloween store down here too. I set up a pretty cool grave yard each year and was gonna get a couple.

Even though I prepped the bike for storage I still managed to get out at least once or twice every month..

But I absolutely do LOVE a good Halloween scene, so please post pics, would you?
So... next up, how about going back to the Gothic stuff... being October and all - someone's bound to have a gargoyle. Gargoyles kick butt. That, or an undead garden gnome. I find them to be hilarious. Yeah, I'm a bit twisted, but hey... gotta love me!
Glasses (or a pint of O-neg) on the seat!
