I agree & don't have any beef with you Rag or the challenge. Having different and unique challenges keeps it fresh. Some things are easier to find in certain regions (i.e. cheese in Wisconsin). I have 2 puny golf courses near me & 1 is on a farmer's field. I rode past over 100 Wall Drug signs on my trip but was on my Road Glide, so I was out on that one. I know there are 1000s of pics online of the Wall Drug signs too, but there are none within riding distance of me. My point (using the pics as an example only - not a gripe) is that I could throw up a challenge and a ton of pics of a barefoot dreadlock hippy chick (of which my town is crawling with) and in your part of the country might be impossible to find.
Completely agree - and we're cool - my post may have hinted at some frustration or hostility that wasn't intended.
I'm serious, though, maybe adding a concurrent challenge would be a good idea. The cheese in WI - sure. Piece of cake for a few of us. Good luck around here finding a 7-eleven, which are on every friggin' block elsewhere. Having two won't change that, but may keep things more available to more of us.
I can look for one thing, two things, or nothing at all. It's all good...
I am fine with the pic of the ball but I have to say this game is getting a bit to "easy" the whole point is to get out and ride -(winning the challenge should not really matter)
for example I could say a ski hill and 1/2 the people would say something to the effect "I know where there is one but its 60 miles away"
Well whats the problem with that?
I guess its easier to ride down the block take a pic and ride back home - but whats the fun in that?
There is always going to be ones that certian people cant "play" I mean I live in Canada we dont have NFL stadiums or Wal Drugs - oh well I wait for the next challenge.
I think what makes some of these so hard is the specific requests like a giant golf ball if what you want is a miniature golf course then say that. Or if you want an old bike then say old bike but when you make it "pre 1970 and must be over 750cc and have pink tassels then it's too specific. Instead of "WALL DRUG" why not just a drug store? If I said 7-eleven then the northern people are out but if I said convenience store then any would work even SHEETZ. I don't want two challenges it will be to hard to follow both just make them achievable.
Ps. All the important states have an NFL stadium. Ha!

I think a lot of it is regional...
Whereas "Wall Drug" signs might be commonplace out west, I've never seen one in PA.
And when I mentioned a "concert stage", hell, I have a half dozen around here, so go figure...

I agree an attempt to balance is right. TOO specific, like, go find me a Bucky Badger - the UW mascot, but find me a college mascot would be cool. Go find me a school (public or private, grade pre-k through PhD) is dumb. Go find me green grass...
Some challenges are going to be hard, some aren't. I know for certain some aren't for me. Some are really easy (like a horse, or a barn with a silo - I'm SURROUNDED by them...) and some, like the NFL stadium are right out - not going to cross a state for the sole purpose of grabbing a photo of that... and I'm OK with that. If I post "too far, I'm out", it means "too far, I'm out, good luck to someone else, see you next round..."
I'm feeling a little hesitant in posting the next challenge after reading the recent discussions but here it is anyway.....
Some sort of memorial statue along with a brief story explaining its importance. Could be to honor our soldiers, local industrialist, or "The Fonz" in downtown Milwaukee. You pick, and as usual GOS.

that'll work... ..and actually that's quite an excellent choice.
