Not the best photo, but everything closer is mud.

There's a pop-up camper to the left, a camper to the right, and a tent with a pavilion in the middle. Best I got... and GOS.

I'll assume that meets the criteria.

Rather than go specific, I'll go general so someone should be able to easily meet this one this weekend.

I want to see something patriotic - something related to the 4th - a parade, a family picnic, kids with sparklers, your pile of explosives just waiting for the big night... just not something already done, so no fireworks stand, and no huge flag. Use your discretion - if you say it fits, so be it.

And, of course, GOS.

Good pic! Glad you got it...I found nothing in my travels today.

Great new challenge!

I went to the 4th July Catfish festival today, it just happened to be right near this boat ramp.

Months ago I noticed someone had placed this flag on a water hazard in the middle of the river. It was right about the same time I'd been "informed" of a state budgetary problem with the purchase of flags in a historical village and the costs of purchasing THE CORRECT FLAG. It was just a few days before I'd noticed this and this is just a very small town, no decent jobs, mostly probably minimum wage and near minimum wage where this flag in the river is. The thing with the state and the park and their attitude with the village flag just struck me as so chintzy and cheap, shameful actually and a few days later I saw this and thought how patriotic it was. SOMEONE put this flag there, I know those are not free, the whole state government was too cheap to buy one and some individual must have done this of their own initiative.

It just struck me as super patriotic to make the purchase and then go to the effort to put it where every boat ramp user and visitor to the small park area will see it as well as it is just about 100 yards up river from a state highway where every passer buy headed west can see it, I'm just impressed by the person's effort.

Works for me. For SOMEONE, this was really important.

Funny... I said "no huge flags", so you find us a little one with a huge meaning.

So... next challenge?

I think it is actually pretty much a regular size flag, that's just how far out in the river it is. That wasn't easy to put there and make it stay. I'm still liking the patriotic theme.

How about a pic of your bike with you shaking hands with some one in military uniform. Thanks for you service gentlemen. (GOS)

Man is that uniform thing going to be that hard? I thought that would be easy for some guys near an armory or military base.
