And do the little roses inside the crack pipes they sell at convenience stores count towards the bonus?

Ammm, what the hell is that?
Snow you say?
Well I'll have to take your word for it, I'm too busy shoveling my way out to the mail box.
But you really can't start to complain about it until you get a foot or more of it in a day.
And the weatherman is predicting another foot or more to add to the two plus feet you already have before the weekend is over.
Then you can start complaining.
What you got there isn't enough to make even a half assed snowball.

BTW did you actually RIDE that bike to the gas station?
If you did you have to be crazier than I am.
Around here if its snowing, even that little, and not melting.
You don't go near your bike unless your looking to get hurt, or worse, bang up your bike.
Cause if the ground is cold enough to prevent snow from melting almost immediately, its cold enough to form black ice.
And black ice WILL hurt you and your bike.

It's 36 here right now, but will be in the mid 70's Sunday. Small front will keep it in the 50's and 60's all next week, and I still need a new battery.... tp

Damn, I certainly don't miss that. I grew up on Long Island and spent eight (long) years in Ithaca (undergrad and vet school). I love upstate New York but I do not miss the winters.

Right now, southern California and southern Florida are the places to be. Here in the hill country of (central) Texas, it was in the 60's two days ago. Yesterday, today and tomorrow it is in the 20's with wind chills in the single digits and teens. Even had snow flurries this morning. WTF??? The normal high is 60 degrees. In two days we're back up to 70 degrees.

This extreme cold (for Texas) creates more work on the ranch. The dogs are toasty inside. The cats haven't left the barn. I have a heater in their room to keep them warm. Feeding much more grain and alfalfa hay to the horses. They stay in the barn also to get out of the wind. With the added feed, they are drinking more which means more **** and **** and cleaning stalls.

Here in Texas, in six months we'll be screaming for 20 degree weather. It's a no win situation. No complaints here, though, given what you northerners are enduring.

EDIT: Is it coincidence, Citoriplus, that the three posts after yours are all from Texas ?

STR8, had an 08 Road Glide anniversary colors, and it was a looker. A guy bought it and turned it into a custom show trike. It was a shame that the colors changed. The 03 and 08 colors were both fine... tomp dd50

Spent my life in Texas and will die here, God willin'... tp

Don't laugh, but we have a couple of loons around here that do funeral escort duty all year round on a pair of Harley's.
In the warmer months they are just your average every day PD styled bikes with flashing lights and all.
But in winter and snow like we have now, they put on a snow mobile suit and a pair of 'training' wheels making the bikes into a pseudo 4 wheeler.
Real hard core riders because the only thing that will stop them is a blizzard with near zero viability.
Otherwise they are out there, often foolishly jumping out in front of cross traffic, just to get the funeral through.
Sooner or later one of them is going to get hurt real bad when they try it on someone paying more attention to his or her phone and not the road.
