My dodge ram is fully loaded with computers electric everything & it costs less for annual service. And if I think I have a problem, they are all over it & actually find the problem, repair & are glad they could be of service.
Instead of, dismissing you, as this motorcycle is very complicated & you need to know more about how brakes works & your complaint is unrepairable. Piston, hydraulics , pads, rotor & or the digit tech program to set the ABS function. Yep sounds complicated alright.

If a model of any bike has ABS as an option, yes I buy it. That said, if a model that I want doesn't offer ABS as an option, it doesn't prevent me from buying same.

Got it, and it saved my life (Or at least a hunk of crumpled metal) in the first month.

Don't have it...wish I got it...I must admit it's one of the few things I don't like in Harleys: brakes!

Abs will allow the bike to stop in a straight line and not slide. On equal speeds and brakes applied the abs will take a few feet longer to stop than regular brakes do. This is the same in cars, trucks and anything with abs brakes. I don't have nor do I want it on my bike. The more drivers aids they put on bikes the more people rely on them to save their ***. It makes us lazy and not pay attention to how to ride a bike. Yes it will help the ones in certian situations but will also hinder some in others. Those who don't want them can just unplug the pump and the brake system will function as normal brakes. Harley brakes are not the best but once you learn to ride with what you got you will be safer

What's next? Telling people how to disable their seat belts and air bags?

Furry one what do you do for work?? really?? as you know a lot about nothing. I fix this stuff daily. all abs does is to allow the driver to maintain control in a panic situation. If you believe anything else then you need to read more and talk out your mouth and not your ***

Yeah, People come to me every day to ask me about technical **** I know nothing about so I can give them wrong answers and waste their time.

I fix this stuff daily.
All the more reason not to say what you did. My last ride was in '88, and now I'm back on. I special ordered my ride with ABS because you just never know - like the ******* in the pickup that drove 2 feet into my lane Friday to Fu@k with me.

Please keep it clean, thank you. I know what ABS does, and how it works, and telling people how to defeat it is irresponsible at best, and you should know better. People didn't get sloppy just because OEMs installed seat belts & air bags & ABS, and if you've got one shred of evidence to the contrary, show it.

What I said was abs on a bike is not for me, I did say that it can hrt some too who rely on it. A motorcycle has to driven unlike a car. the tech stuff shows that the distance to stop is longer when abs id active thats all I said .nothing about airbags and seatbelts as niether are on a motorcycle. I have extensive training on abs systems and the certs to prove it thats why I wrote on this thread as there were some wrong info being put out here. as for deactivating an abs system is not a bad thing that is up to the rider and no one else. it doesnt put you in danger. now seatbelts and airbags have saved many people and they are good, never said they were bad. just because people ask you for advise does not make you an expert either. I can prove mine. I do it everyday. I rode dirtbikes when I was younger and that has gotten me out of more bad things than anything. I saw a guy last summer that crashed andafter hitting the guardrail and ended up in the middle of the street couldn't believe he crashed cause he had abs brakes. thats all I wanted to point out and not get into a pissing match. I do know what I am talking about and if I dont I dont say anything
