Oh, I forgot one that I never see people mention on this bike. The Slim seat is design to leave a 1- 2 inch gap between the tank and seat to show of the engine. The Fatboy lo seat cover this gap.
5. Will burn your thigh once in a while with the top of the rocker box waiting for lights or sitting in traffic. They sell a heat deflector if this bother you.
Beside that it a great bike, Just my opinion and what I have experiences in my first year of ownership on this bike.
I had that issue with what I thought was the rocker box too. It ended up being an exhaust leak on my rear header pipe. Since I put fuel management and new gaskets it doesn't get nearly as hot. What's your oil temp at?
Reminds me of my 59 pan in a rigid frame, and engine ran just as hot.took cats out and installed power commander and still ran hot, so devised these pipes and runs cooler.

if you get the slim pick up this mans shocks and you won't be sorry.
OP verdict yet?
Ok cons if ya call it that The stock seat S----!, Heat rear rocker box, put deflector on and
stage 1 with pipes and fueler fixed the uncomfortable-ness?

Any Ideas for seats???
My mustang seat is pretty comfy. I think I said in an earlier post I've put in a few 300-500 mile days no problem.
So far with my setup the hottest oil temp I had was at 240. That was on a hundred degree day with the lady on the back in city traffic. That's down from over 300 before fuel management. Pretty happy with that. I'd love to fabricate some new pipes I just don't have those skills...
You guys also forgot how buzzy the bike is. I test rode one today and for some reason my feet went numb. If you wring the bike out. Like redlining it. About 0% of you wusses have no ***** to do that on a brand new bike.
But anyways the only thing i didnt like about it was that stupid heel shifter and the vibrations during the ride. The brakes felt like 2 planks of wood rubbing on the disc but Im assuming that they havent broken in yet.
Compared to a touring bike which I own. Its pretty fast.
By the way... the only way you can burn your thigh is if you wear shorts. Its nearly impossible to do that if you wear the right gear.
In my own opinion riding a softail is like riding a metric. Rubber mounted bikes feel more authentic

Guess I'm one of those wusses that wouldn't want to red line a brand new bike. I guess if it's not your bike then who cares though.
