Bike ran awesome before I put the intake on, then I took it to my local harley dealer for a dynojet tune and when I picked it up it runs worse then when I dropped it off... They put a 200 main jet in it and a 45 slow jet. It has like a hesitation above 3k rpm and when I crack the throttle its real bad. They tell me that's the best it will get with my setup, I know better.

Since then I've totally rebuilt the carb, put a 88 sportster needle in it and tried all different kind of jets and it gets no better. Please someone help me out here. You can call or text me also at 443-206-4870 thanks
I think you answered your own question when you said the bike ran good before you put the new intake on. When I rebuilt my '06 carbed to 95" I wanted that same intake you have but they all were for EFI bikes. I think someone suggested earlier to put your old intake on to see if the bike runs better and that was good advice. There are Screaming Eagle intakes available for carbed bikes but not in that design. Once you get the right intake on, 42 or 45 and 185/190 jets should be what you need for jetting.

OK I'll play---did you check the float level? Set wrong would fit the description of ruining the main jet performance circuit which happens only above 3,000 rpm.

It is not your pipes or the air cleaner causing something as drastic as you describe. Pipes and cleaner should work great with a 190/45 and the stock needle with perhaps a shim or two.

I would rebuild the carb if it was me. Very possible the dealer screwed it up. Go look online and you will find a ton of information on how to deal with the CV. Great carb in my book. Have them on both my Harley and Triumph.

Yeah I just did rebuild my carb, the whole thing but didnt really make any differance. I don't know if the float levers has ever been messed with but I'm not sure how to check it or where it should be

with the bowl off, lean the carb at a 45 deg angle, the floats should hang straight.
Also does your slide move up and down freely?

Yeah the slide moves just fine. It still acts like its just not getting enough fuel to me but this is all new to me so I'm not sure. The float looks good

are you getting fuel flow from the petcock? Could be a failing petcock or a blockage in the filter?

Yeah I'm not sure about that idk what's going on with it. Low end is fine cruises just fine but when I crack on it and want to go go go it feels like there's not enough power to get up and run like it should

It sounds like its not transitioning right, from mid
Range to main jet. Id try going back to the stock needle and
See what happens. If not id lookin into fuel flow quality.
Then ignition sys.

What did HD do to it?
Did they install the new air cleaner?

Take it back and don't leave until they fix it. Its there fault if they installed it.
If they didn't install it, then we are where we are right now.
