Also, from what everyone tells me. Once your Carb'd bike is tuned and running mint...Its going to have less issues than EFI.

If my bike ***** out..I don't even know where to begin with troubleshooting and EFI bike

Best of luck regardless. Im out.

I got the very last carbed "05 Deuce and had it shipped in from out of state to boot. I LOVE the CV carb. It is good enough to run from stock all the way up to just about 100 horsepower.

And it is sooo cool to just run through each circuit's range (idle-low-slide/needle-high speed jet) and FEEL what the bike wants fuel wise...

I NEVER want to go Fuel Injected. That would put me at the mercy of throttle bodies, fuel maps, dyno tunes, and Froot Loops. Well maybe not Froot Loops... As it stands all I need to handle mods on a street Twin Cam (even with hotter heads , cam, pipes and bigger jugs) is a handful of jets and a few shims for the needle. How great is THAT?

The main reason Harley and everybody else stopped running carbs was to meet tighter and leaner emission requirements. NOT because it made the bike run better.

I have heard stories that EFI is the cat's meow IF you run up through the mountains and then back to sea level as the system can compensate for that. And I have also heard how great it is to start a cold bike in the winter with EFI.

Well my carbed CV handles both scenarios easy peezy. A touch more gas through the low circuit when cruising the mountains. Never balks starting even at 40 degrees... PLUS it doesn't have any throttle weirdness which I HAVE heard that EFI can develop.

Just call me a Luddite. But I don't believe that NEW is all ways BETTER. Obviously as I drive a Harley, heh heh....
