I have an 02 twin cam night train with stock cv carb. I'm running Vance and Hines big radius pipes with no baffle but I have torque cones in and a screamin eagle heavy breather intake kit. Bike ran awesome before I put the intake on, then I took it to my local harley dealer for a dynojet tune and when I picked it up it runs worse then when I dropped it off... They put a 200 main jet in it and a 45 slow jet. It has like a hesitation above 3k rpm and when I crack the throttle its real bad. They tell me that's the best it will get with my setup, I know better.
Since then I've totally rebuilt the carb, put a 88 sportster needle in it and tried all different kind of jets and it gets no better. Please someone help me out here. You can call or text me also at 443-206-4870 thanks
Harleys generally don't run well without baffles. There's this phenomenon called reversion. Look it up on Google.
Yeah I have bolts going all the way side to seide where the baffles are supposed to bolt in just for alittle something something but I've never ran baffles before and it always ran great till I put the elbow intake on
Id check for intake leaks, then did you adjust idle mix
Screw? Id try a 48/ 195 with out sporty needle. Ive found
My twincams ran great with this set up. I never run baffles
Just nuts and washers in my straight pipes.

Yeah I've tried the 48/195 jets and it still does the same thing. I've checked for leaks several times and can't find none anywhere. I'm at my wits end with this I have no clue what to do with it. It had an adjustable needle in it and I've moved the clip in a differant spot a couple times and that didnt seem to matter either...

I had the 48 slow jet in and it was to big. I could turn the mixture screw all the way to seat and it had no affect on the engine
Well hmmm. I would check to make sure the diaphragm in the
Top of the carb is seated correctly. If not then id try and borrow
A buddys carb next.
Yeah I don't have any buddies with a carb they are all efi haha and I've checked the diaphragm a few times and even put a new one in but ill have to check it again I guess. Thanks
