Night Train Questions
1. I pulled the baffles and put in torque cones but I hated the noise it made backing off the throttle. Is anyone running these pipes without baffles and cones and how does it sound? When running the pipes with baffles it sounds like a diesel jake brake when backing off of the throttle.
2. Has anyone removed the o2 censors and what was the effect?
3. I am also wondering if you can still have a passenger after installing skirt blowers pipes?
There are SBP's that don't point up at the passenger... but hot pipes and passengers on Harleys rarely mix well no matter where they are pointing. I have straight pipes and I put a 'lift' on my passenger peg mounting bracket to keep a passenger from melting the bottom of their shoe on the pipe. Fat boy exhausts are the worst... with the peg between the pipes.
Don't know about your pipes but back pressure is important for power... and something like a Thunder Max allows you to adjust the AFR for rpm/throttle position which will probably improve the sound... it did on mine at least.

Took your advice and bought a new O2 sensor yesterday and installed it. Check engine light is now off and bike is working good. I would still like to install those SBPs but I don't think it would be practical when haulin the old lady. I'm still lookin for a set of pipes that are a little longer than the short shots. I'm sure that the shortness of these pipes have something to do with the back off sound. I appreciate your help, ride safe brother.
