The issue is as it creeps forward the stand goes back up on the Breakout...it really does!! Has me freaked at LEAST a dozen times in the last month. I am hoping to find a nice long flat stand to put on it, as this thing is just crazy. I may even email Harley on it....just to see what they come back with. As you can see in the video, it was on the stand, crept forward, and the damn thing went up.

The other day I was moving one in the store. As soon as I leaned the bike over and the stand touched the floor, it folded up. I was holding the bike up. Had it happen to several of us so far.

Oh wow glad it's not just me! That stand has freaked me out since I bought the Breakout. I thought it was just me being paranoid and not used to a bigger bike or something...

always leave it in gear when you shut it off. I know all you guys know this, might help a little.

Nope...this is as the bike settles into the stand, sometimes it moves forward just a bit but more often than not it moves backwards as if it was being put up....its a **** poor design...

So this is something different from the normal Harley jiffy stand? A spring wants to pull it up or something?

It is a completely different stand. It's too short and it looks like it should be positioned differently on the frame. The locking mech and spring may be the same but the angle and length are off

Interested in this too. I cringe when my Road Glide rolls forward a bit as the stand seats into position. But it is NOT coming out of that spot that accepts it.

Is the Breakout different? Is the creep forward somehow allowing the stand to leave the receptacle for it ?

Hell, I dont know what to call the parts, but you know what I mean!

Wow! I thought what I posted was correct. I apologize. Why in the wild, wild world of sports would H-D change the design that locks itself into place?! If someone gets hurt.....

Fear not fellas, I'm sure Harley has an extended jiffy stand that can be purchased through your authorized dealer
