So I'm dragging on right now trying to figure out which style ape to go with on the Slim.
Please post which apes and the bar diameter/height. I'm torn between 1.25 and 1.50 on the slim front end right now.
Now if Ronin99 you see this thread I saw your pictures when you first put your 14" 1.25 Carlini's on your slim, but the photos were taken without controls on the bars. Could you post some updated photos with controls from the front and side if possible. Be a huge help if so, have been holding off on the evil apes because I figured they were not wide enough for the front end of a slim? But then some of the original apes seem too wide for the slim? I have also looked at gangsters etc.
Any input is appreciated on anyones thoughts with apes on a Slim..
this is only my personal opinion, but after seeing both 1.25 and 1.5 bars on the FL front end, 1.5 is the way to go hands down. I am putting the gangsters on mine. Hoping to have everything done by this time next month.
I really wanted 1.5 Evil Apes, but Carlini wouldn't make them so I went with the gangsters.

If you look at Ronin's slim with 1.25 evil's it looks damn good, and he even has the nacelle freight train headlight with it , which is my eyes would only make the bars look smaller, but it doesnt...it looks pretty damn good.
I just think the evil apes are a perfect style for the slim's, enough to sacrifice the 1.50 for the 1.25's.
