RE: 2006 Softail Std - Fuel Injected - any known issues
Hard to say especially without seeing your sporty. But that 06 softail should be worth atleast a good one $10,000 - $11,000 stock also depending on condition and miles, etc... Have any pics or details of either one?

Nice lookin' Sportys!...Value on the '06 FXSTI if it's showroom condition IMO is between $12,000 (lowball...you'd be stealing it) and $14,000 (top dollar).
RE: 2006 Softail Std - Fuel Injected - any known issues
There is one issue that I have experienced and heard of, on the fuel injected and carburetor. When your returning home from a ride and get close to your street the bike passes right by without turning in, then your forced to ride another 100 miles. I think this is mainly on left turns, the wife can't seem to understand this strange happening. It may be in the computer programing but has been ruled to be completely safe so safe that it brings about more relaxation and is as effective in relieving stress as 1 hour of meditation. It doesn't seem to happen as much with passenger. RIDE SAFE!!

Yeah nice pics. I'd say to be honest and fair, you may owe him about $2500 - $3,000 with the trade in on that deal IMO... nice bikes overall. Any thing otherwise would be a steal. Ride safe
