Default Softail to touring back to softail?

Has anyone gone back to a softail after having a touring bike? Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2014 CVO Breakout. But I don't know how much I am going to miss my bags on my Street Glide.

Figuring a swingarm bag will hold most of the junk I need to carry.

I went from a Electra glide limited to a fatboy lo and while I miss the luggage space and the cruise control I'm not regretting it for a second.

About the swing arm bag carrying your stuff...it will if you don't have but 1-2 things.

Just a small tool kit, toll tag, work ID badge. Nothing big at all.

I went from a limited to a heritage but the heritage is a bagger so I don't know if that helps. You could always get a detachable sissy bar to strap luggage to when you need to carry stuff and take t off when your just cruising.

had a 2003 Softail Std,then a 2006 Roadking, now a 2012 Deluxe. I liked my Roadking for 6yrs but really like my Deluxe and dont miss it except maybe the storage. I have some luggage that looks pretty good and now have storage. I like the way Softails look and handle.
The 1st 6 motorcycles I had never had storage. I wonder how I survived that? Too busy partying to notice I guess.

I have both touring and softail. Love them both. I can haul more stuff in my Heritage bags than my hard bags. I ride the Heritage more though.

Went from Fatboy to Street Glide to Blackline. All you will miss are the bags. The softail is definitely the better choice. Once my blackline is paid off, I will get a bagger again. But until then, the softail is the way to go.

I went from Fatboy to RoadGlide Custom to a Breakout. I miss the storage but I'll get over it.
