Question Harley Daymaker 5 3/4" question

Oh no, not another Daymaker thread. Lol

Well, this is a little different...

Does anyone know if you can use the extended trim ring with the 5 3/4" Daymaker? It looks thicker so I am not sure if it would work and I really dig my extended trim ring.

Anyone with experience on this? I have searched all over and can't seem to find the answer.

Both myself and 24v have a different trim ring (it's the one with a lip over the top). See pic below (his is powdercoated black, haven't done mine yet).

And both of you have the Daymaker LED?

Make sure you get the older LED. The new one looks like a teddy bear.

Yea. Lol

I wonder how much better it is. I could have bought the older one today for $299 but I passed.

Mine is the older one and it works great. Much much better than the stock light. I would jump on the old one for $299.

Works fine with the trim rings.

You'll want to either get the vibration damper from Harley, or do a solid mount on the headlight bucket. The weight of the Daymaker makes the bucket bounces a lot.

I opted for a solid mount.
