As you can see below I have a Fatboy and had an fxst and I have ridden a nighttrain, and there is no way an fx series bike handles better than a fatboy. The Fatty is much easier to handle at low speeds and is more comfortable with flooboards for longer rides. Im 603 and I put cruise arms on mine from kuryakyn just so I could stretch out a little. They are both great bikes, you cant go wrong.
Got a fatty and love her! Love the cast wheels (tubeless and no spoke adjusting), and the fat mean look. Both are great, but FL forks will make longer rides that much better. I had a Badlander seat put on it and no I DEFINITELY feel like Im riding in the bike instead of on top like with the stock seat. Im 5'3" and I gotta stech my legs a little bit to get to the controls when I need to shift or brake, but in no way is this a problem whatsoever. A guy your size might need to extend the controls, but a quick road test is the only way your going to know what you like.
Look at it this way though, if the NT is like a stealth fighter, then the fatboy is like a friggen B-52! Both will kick *** and take names, but each does it in a different style.
In any event, the 07s have the 96" engine, the six speed trans and EFI. ANY HD with that combo is just ASKING for engine mods and will make reliable power! The choice is ultimately yours, but Im biased toward the Fatty.
