Default Michelin Commander II's on a Fatboy

How many have replaced the stock Dunlops with Michelin Commander II's on their Fatboy's ?
And what differences did you notice?

I can't answer the vote, but I've heard from several people in several different places who have them and love them more than the stock dunlops.

One guy explained to me that he was a casual rider, and he had over 15k on his first set, while a friend of his was more aggressive in the turns and wore that set out in under 10k.. but that's all hear-say, ya know, a guy telling me, and who am i to know how true it was..if you take my meaning.

Anyways, they're the tire I'm going to go with this winter when i change mine out (finally).. still got 9000K+ from the stock dunlops.

Rear 200/55-R17 I got around 7K on the Comm ii before I changed it.

About 1K more than any other tire I've used.

I'm not an aggressive rider and very seldom ride two up. But I've always run 42 psi in the rear, but trying 40 now. Will see what happens

I had them on my Lo, when I traded it in my commander II's had 7000 miles on them and still looked brand new with over 3/4 tread depth still left front and rear. That being said, I was a pretty easy on them. Im not one to beat the crap out of my bike. Nice easy take offs, and not much 2 up riding.

I have them on my heritage classic front and back, second one on the back. I got 11,000 miles on the back one and I don't do burnouts hell they ware out fast enough good traction in the rain I like them better then the stock Dunlop and better then the mettsler 880's

Bunch of members in here have reported the 200 size Mich II's are doing better that the stock Lop, Seems the Lops are averaging around 6K..

I got a set of them last fall and now with a hair over 7k on them I can report what I'am getting. My Heritage uses a 150 rear and MT90 front.

I Change tires out around 2/32nds inch left measured with a tire gauge. I wont ride on bald tire.

First 39+K miles; - I've used (4) rear HD-LOPs 401's all replaced around 10k.. -- Used (2) HD-LOPs 402's on the front. Both around 20k.

*Results riding the last 7K miles with the MIch II's; I just measured them with a tire gauge to report.

NEW, the Mich II's Rear had 8/32nds, now at 5/32nds, that's 3/32nds usable thread left, If they continue to wear the same I looking at nearly 14k on the rear. (4K) more VS the 402 LOP.

NEW, Mich's front had 5/32nds, now a hair more than 3/32nds. It seems it also will need replaced around 15k at present wear. Thats (5K) less than the LOPs 401's.

*My overall review of the Mich's commd II's Vs HD-LOPs 401's & 402's.

The Mich's Ride firmer/harder, (Higher Load rating); Do just as well in the rain.; The Mich's do better on tar snake, road grooves, and steel bridges.

I have another Mich II rear to mount as I ordered (2)rears, (1)front. Thought the front would go 2x the miles.

Think I'll try a LOP Elite III's on the front next change to go with the Mich's rear. Their tread pattern is closer than the LOP's 402.

Default retire

Put a front Commander 11 on the front this spring and while at Sturgis replaced my car tired rear with one. The car tire didn't handle that well, but the mileage was great so when I say I really like the handling now that's what I was coming off of. I never got better than 4800 miles on the previous Dunlops and was really tired of the 400$ it cost to replace while on the road. Therefore I went with the car tire that had 10k on it when I replaced it and was only half worn but was tired of muscling it through the corners and having it crawl up the groves on worn hwys. Got about 2500 on the 11 and it's still looking good. I only dream of the milage some people claim to get.

Some good info. here but I would like to get some real world reviews of the 200/55/17 commander II rear tires on fatboys.
I have seen several threads that say that the rider just put the commander II 200/55/17 rear tire on their fatboy and they sat they will update later on the mileage, but none of the posts give any updates.
So in real world riding , what kind of mileage are fatboy owners getting with the 200/55/17 commander II rear tires?
BTW my idea of a worn out tire is when the wear bars are starting to make contact with the road surface. I see so many varying reports of mileage, and I believe one of the reasons for this is that what maybe considered worn out to me is considered to still have plenty of mileage left to someone else.
So to get a more accurate comparison I am speaking of mileage to the wear bars. Anything beyond that is not considered good mileage so to speak.

As i've said before.. i put the mich C II tires on my 07 fatboy which uses the 200 tire. with 5000 miles on the tire there is approx 1/2 life left in the tire so i expect to get close to double the life of the orig dunrock..

My buddy gets 15K on those on his bagger which weighs a whole lot more than a fatboy. You might be running the tire pressure too low?
