Default Inserting swingarm bearings

I'm trying to install my new swingarm and need to put the bearings in. I'm having a hell of a time. I tried the rubber mallet approach, but that went nowhere. What's the best way to get them in? Would a vice work? Would a clamp work? Any tips?

If you don't have access to a press I would go the vise route. It will be easier to keep things straight.
Just make sure you use a big socket on the bearing so your pushing on the outer race.
If you don't itspossibleto damage the bearing. Also it shoud go in snugly not really tight. If it goes in harddouble check to make sure its not cocked a little.

put the bearings in the freezer for a few hours, and heat the swing arm just before putting the bearings in.

I managed to get them in yesterday with a vise. No freezer needed.

DIY works well enough. Could even persuade your local wrench to get them in or out for you. But if you want the tool, here it is.

Not sure who else carries and how much. This one is part no 20900 from Custom Chrome catalog and lists online for about $45.

Swingarm bearing tool for Softail models....
