I just ordered mine yesterday. Seems like a great system. Was highly recommended by a few guys here and they haven't had any problems. Be interested to see if it is just the seals or what is going on.
Actually, despite customer service being reported as excellent when there are problems, the failure rate seems rather high. At least compared to conventional shocks. The downtime for replacement would mean something to me, as would reliability on a trip.
Another concern for me would be the lack of hydraulic damping (as far as I can tell). I can't think of any modern "performance" shock which doesn't have hydraulic damping. Sure, a suspension with lower damping will be smoother, but does anyone know any hardcore canyon carvers who use and recommend this suspension?

JD is a stand up guy, but I am also on my third one since '11. Seemed to be around 20k or so the issues would arise. Broke my leg in June so I did not ride much this year to see if the "new" design will last longer. On the plus side JD always sent a new one before I had the old one off and it is not that hard to change. But they both failed while on road trips so Warp has a right to be concerned.
well that's bitter sweet. i love the ride but i'm not the only one with these problems.when i communicated with him he told me he would update mine but i got a different one back. from florida is 1 week to get there and another to get back. the good part is we ride all year round here so i don't loose a season
i don't know? pretty simple install four bolts an airline and a plug. love to know what could be causing the problem. i put about 20,000 miles a year and use it a lot, but i don't feel like i abuse it. when i called nobody seemed surprised and told me they were changing to a different type of seal.
Looks like we made some mistakes on your rebuild. But lets keep it in perspective. You said you've had it for three years, and you put 20,000 miles a year on it, that's 60,000 miles. Stock shocks are only good for about 40,000 miles. When you call up Harley Davidson they aren't going to send you a new set.

WOW !!!! I would be concerned with that comment. Stock harley shocks are $300 not $1200-$1500.
Concerned? Either way, he is still standing behind his product. The point being made is that once your factory warranty is up from Harley (Granted you bought the bike new), they aren't going to care about wear items like that. They really aren't going to care about anything that fails at all. This system is a little more intricate than the stock Harley shocks. And with a system like this, there is more room for something to go wrong. It's not like these kits are mass produced in a factory.
Now I'm not trying to get on anyone's bad side here, but it sounds like the problem is in the works of being handled. All the more reason why this product comes highly recommended. I know it was among the most talked about product from many different members here.
