Got my first look at the Cvo deluxe today. It's a nice bike but I would have liked to have seen them keep the nostalgic look on this bike. It has a sweet dash and the bags are a lot more user friendly then the peanuts they offered for the reg deluxe. All in all for 30,000 out the door I would pass on it. This could have been a new bike in the lineup I bought my deluxe for the nostalgic look that I always liked nice try but not what I expected.
Yeah I was pretty disappointed when I first saw it. The deluxe is already the sexiest stock bike ever. I just can't believe how majorly they screwed the deluxe over.
I looked at a CVO Deluxe while at The Bikes Blues & BBQ rally September. It did not appeal to me at all. I would much rather have my Deluxe. Like you said it was missing most if not all of the things that make the Deluxe what it is. Pure Nostalgia.
I have spent a few bucks on my bike making it to my liking. With the cost of my bike and the extras I put into it I am still way under the cost of the CVO.
I think it is lacking the nostalgia too. It reminds me of a CVO Convertible but not as nice. It's kind of like the first version of it and then the CVO Convertible was the graduate version with the stereo, better windshield, and wheels and better looking all the way around including paint jobs.
But the Deluxe is by far my favorite looking stock HD off the floor. I have to say I was disappointed with the CVO Deluxe. It is a nice bike over all, just I had higher hopes for what that bike can look like. Just take a look around the forum on some of the Deluxe's. HD even lost the Tombstone tail light??
The paint colors on the CVO Deluxe are...... well just ugly. The pillion seat is a cruel joke. The CVO Convertible was a great bike. The Deluxe I can pass on.
Despite the 'miss' with the CVO Deluxe, they seem to be selling quickly. I agree with the previous comments, the CVO Deluxe could have really have been a home run but was only a bunt single by the MoCo. SJ Ron
I'm in the minority here, I love the look for the new CVO Deluxe. I love the clean fenders and no wire wheels was a big plus for me, guess I'm no big on the nostalgic look.
