FYI
If 24v says it is coreect, than your a shoe in (it's going to work)

Don't over think it

Lot's of **** says that it won't fit, doesn't mean anything but that it has not been updated to our bikes.
Good luck

Yep, accepted,

I just did a lot of fishing about on eBay and almost all different sellers either haven't updated their databases, or are plain wrong. They say "will", or "won't" against may different parts and bikes. Their loss, they must be losing a whole lot of sales, particularly to people like me, who are newbs to this model.

Anyway, I have found a seller who doesn't partake in the "Customs clearing and tracking information provided" scam and have ordered from him.

Thanks for the guidance Gents, particularly 24v and here comes the next question...:

With the 18-507 fitted, I will need to do something with my baffles for sound and flow to match the 18-507.

Can I remove the baffles and cut them down by hand, or do I go the scientific route and spike them, as I did on my 48 a couple of years back? I tuned the 48 with a Dynovision myself and she ran very nicely.

You can remove the baffles and cut them down, or my suggestion would be to cut the center out of them and leave a little around the outside, as most aftermarket baffles are like that. I completely took my baffles out and it sounded good to me, a little loud to others. I think leaving a good 1/2" or so around the outside would of been about right.

OK, thanks. That's pretty much the same as spiking them, yes?

I haven't been able to find a service manual for my bike yet, so any pointer to a description of the baffle removal job at all?

There's three rivets that hold in each baffle at the very end of the can. It's easy to take the cans/mufflers off and then dremel or drill the rivets out. Just look at the exhaust and you'll be able to figure out how to get the cans off. Use some lube around the area where the cans mount to the tubes and they'll come off pretty easy.

In the search for simplicity, wouldn't I be better off just drilling up the middle without dismounting them then?

The baffles are pretty big, if I remember correctly they were about a foot long. And I'd be worried about scratching something with them on the bike.

I think it will compliment the lines of the Breakout quite well

Rod
Rod, saw that Bullet spoiler once installed on a CVO BO but not sure if they needed to work on it to make it fit, it was only a pic. Guess you'll have to bite the bullet as I did and try installing. HD spoilers, normally, might have some issues installing if you have ABS equipped Softails.
In your case the Bullet spoiler shouldn't interfere with the ABS module so if you're lucky it might even been a bolt on mod.

I would use an industrial drill with an 18 inch bit. Iv'e done it before several times and it's not too difficult, as long as you have a good look up the tailpipe with a torch and get the bit started centrally. Carefully applied elbow grease and patience. 👍

I'd be happier doing that than drilling out rivets anyway.

For the baffles, you can just remove them entirely, cats and all. Then install some from https://www.bigcitythunder.com. They sound really good that way. If you send a message to Harley_Charley he can help you as he did exactly that on his Breakout.
