Tim so why you keep posting the same huge pics over and over again brother? you're starting to chap the *** of members here. just make a smaller picture and put it in your signature line or avatar. all good.

so my ebay used softail 46mm throttle body showed up today- looks pretty new. sending it off to Maxbore (www.maxbore.com) to have them hog it out to 51mm with new butterfly. Will put the SE 4.9 injectors on it and give 'er a rip. I don't expect much more out of that right now except lowering my injector duty cycles back down to a reasonable level. this is more in preparation for the eventual cam upgrade.

So one thing that maxbore does not do is port or polish the plenum area- they do blend the throttle plate area 1" back into the plenum area, but they are not tooled up to finish the plenum runners.

Given the stock heads I'm wondering if there is any benefit to messing with the runners anyway. there are arguments on both sides of the camp for smooth runners vs rough runners and fuel suspension characteristics. If anyone has sage advice let me know.

Yeah....this is the FIFTH (!) thread he posted this last pic of his CVO on.....although I already asked him NOT to do that in one of those other 4 threads.....that's really annoying!

Tim, obviously you still didn't get the point. Some of us have tried to politely tell you that this is not the right spot for bragging about your bike or spamming other people's threads with one identical photo of it.

If you want to show pictures of your bike then you should move over to the softails pictures forum. If you want to show off your bike and give some more information about it and your mods then open your own "build" thread.

Neither LA nor I have been posting the identical pic of our scoots in half a dozen threads. AND we have been talking HD for quite some time now here....where have you?

Thanks for leaving. Your CVO pride and arrogance were a little too evident. Money can't buy good manners.

Default Thanks

My first post.

30 days ago I bought my first bike after 45 years of NOT riding. My 2016 Breakout came home, on a truck, on Jan 13. I am having a blast. Riding and modify has been amazing. The Harley community is terrific. My dealership treated me great and I always feel welcome. Every biker I meet is engaging and helpful. The Breakout is admired by everyone who sees it. Fantastic design - great lookin' bike.
Now, here's why I have posted. I want to thank the forum members for taking the time to post about their bikes. Your input helped me decide on which bike is best for me - You were right, the Breakout is perfect for me. What's even more amazing is the information that is posted on modifications - what a treasure trove of things to do. Gang, thanks for posting your experiences - it will save me a ton of wasted money and frustration going down the wrong path. Two guys are standout - LA_Dog and 24v - thanks for taking the time and energy to post your experiences - many others as well.

Just wanted to say thanks. Out for now. I'll post on mods as I go. Gear change soon
