Winter is a good time for some changes. Currently waiting on a lot of what used to be chrome parts to come back from the powdercoater and when they're getting put on there will be a new gauge and some stuff from Performance Machine going on too:

What are you guys doing for options when it comes to a black dipstick cap? I haven't been able to find anything to replace the stock one with.

The Stock one comes apart and get the powder coaters or spray shop to black it out then reassemble

Put the custom Fly Screen on and really helps on those long rides! Easily comes off when riding local.

Looks nice, I bet it does take some wind off the chest too. I have the 14" HD quick release shield for long trips that is a nice piece. But do like the BO most without a shield, so it only goes on if I'm doing +200 miles or so legs.

So when I took things apart I missed labeling a wire on the right side under the tank and now I don't know where it goes. Anyone have an idea? It's the two wire plug with the black and white wires on the left side of the pic

Pretty sure that's for heated grips. You shouldn't use that.

Thanks! I was leaning towards that after looking at the service manual but hearing it from someone else makes me feel more sure about it and now I can keep moving along with getting everything back together.
