Here's a small project I did the other week. I cut and shaped the fender struts to make the Alloy Art turn signals fit. I'm pretty satisfied with the look but plan to cut the signals down to about half the length...then I'll remove some of the contour on the struts where they meet up with the signals to make it flow better.

that's awesome - you've got a pretty steady hand with that grinder!
the results look great, sorta like the bike should have come that way.
suggestion, paint the strut bolt heads black to blend in? I use spray can black lacquer or gloss enamel. fasten the bolts, wipe them off, mask around them and then hit with a few coats until shiny to match struts.
i found that if i paint the bolt heads before assembly, the tool will always chip the paint off and it looks ratty.
easiest way to mask off the bike is to throw a painters plastic sheet over it, poke some holes in the sheet where the bolt heads are, then use pieces of masking tape to complete the masking around the bolt head to the plastic sheet.

Thanks LA_Dog. I did the final shaping by hand with a file. Hell, I wish I had that steady of a hand with a grinder...it would have shaved off about 2 hours of work (pun intended haha).
Great idea with painting the bolts black. I added the chrome fender strut bolt kit but I think they stand out too much now.

Nice Job! I'd be interested in seeing the finished project. Post a pic of the signal separately when it's cut down.
