....and I'm happy with my SS. Rides great, no problems at all.
The switches are practically invisible....mounted right next to the bikes ignition switch. If I didn't tell you where they were, you'd never know they were there.
So my concern isn't the cosmetic placement, I'm wondering if it's in a usable placement. Can you adjust while riding or quickly at a stoplight? On the handle bars I know I could do a quick adjustment.

Thank for the info Rocker. I gotta say I like the fact that Shotgun has a presence on the forum and loyal followers, but also a lot of stories of great customer service after failures, which means failures. Did you do the install yourself?
There have been significant advances to the Shotgun Shock technology that have virtually eliminated any warranty issues due to leaks
bought this beauty in January and then had back surgery 😏
Wanna put a spring seat on the BO now for comfort and also to sit a little higher and further back than the stock seat.
anyone done that?
can I use those holes in the frame?

If this isn't out of the question for you style-wise, why not see if you can find a BO with apes and take that for a trial spin. An ape mod makes a "BIG" difference !!
Cases are back together with the s&s crank. Long process but the end is near. Parts look nice. If anyone is wanting mr103 cams, a set of good heads to have done up for a build , or a set of jugs to go 107 with, pm me.

Thanks Mark for the reply
Apes are "the last thing" on my list.
First I want to do something that helps me with the pot holes around here.
shotgun shocks are on my list too
I also need some more more leg room and don't want to to the 3" extension.
makes sense?! 😁

Yep, makes sense. Still, I'd strongly recommend, that since you're doing apes anyway, you do em first. They are such a transformation in a BO's riding characteristic that they may change your thinking with regard to some of the other mods you're planning. Review some of the early posts in the Everything Breakout thread and you'll see this observation is indeed a common one.

My local dealer has a "bike night" next Saturday.
Maybe I'll find a bike with apes to try.
Spring seat is already here 😉 So I will focus on that until then.
I'll post pictures the next days, see what you think...
