I'm running a Metz. 260mm on my BO with Legend air...NO problems.

Yes it will fit.

You will have very little room between the tire and the edges of the fender, but it won't matter. Tire if inflated properly will not "bulge" and hit the fender like you are imagining.

Close enough. I actually run 34 front and about 30 rear on mine. If I go 2-up, I bump the rear pressure up to the mid/upper 30s.

I do it for tire wear. Helps get a little bit more life out of the tire. I get just over 7,000 miles on a rear tire. That's just to the wear marks on the treads. The lower pressure doesn't affect performance. Not enough to notice anyways.

If i am running a 260 and having low air pressure in the tire i think that will make the tire wider and rub my fender

I run the E3 250 and it is pretty much the same size as the Metz 260. Someone took an actual measurement across between the two and they are almost identical in width. You will be fine.

I've read some threads where the 250 E3 was actually wider than the Metz 260. I never measured them myself, but either way, your bike will be fine slammed with either tire. My brother has the Metz 260 on his breakout too. We both have shotguns and have no issues with rubbing on either bike.
