That is what I was wondering. I was thinking these new style forks would be better than the "upgrade". But you answered me on that. Upgrade it is(I've been meaning to do it but been lazy)
On the tires though. Maybe this stock size being Michelin tires will be just as good? None of us have ever tried it because this stock size was only available with the stock Dunlop's. Maybe it was just the better tires causing the boost in handling? I'm not going to lie though. I can tell the difference(looks wise) in the 120-70 vs 130-60. Only us owners can I'm sure. I'll probably try these new ones to be the guinea pig. I've been through 4 sets of the Dunlop's so one more won't kill me. You never know. Maybe they will be Awesome?
thanks again for the detailed reply !!!!!!
thanks for the info.
I'll agree with the visual difference for sure. I can certainly tell that the tire is skinnier. I think the point that it fills the fender nicer (more height) accommodates this. It is certainly possible that the better tire in itself is the improvement on the handling. I would be curious how a better quality 130 performs. And, if it is satisfactory; then I would just lower the fender. Let us know when you change them, what you think.

Remember - he'll be comparing one stock H-D 130 tire to another 130 stocker (just different manufacturers), not to one of the common 120 upgrades.
Remember the bike your little sister had...the one with the solid rubber tires? THOSE f'n tires are BETTER than the tires H-D sells the bike with, lol.........

That's the part i'm afraid of. I'm just hoping Michelin hold up their reputation. They look good at least. We'll see. Or maybe not. Because the front isn't listed so this might be a waste of time.
My friend had a Street Bob with stock Michelin's. Hasn't had to change them once. He got in 2013 with me. Loves the performance of them also. I think they they rushed on the breakout Dunlop's and didn't think it through. Or they thought they would work out much better.

Had about the same thought. There are some things that simply should NOT be done to a bike....
Sometimes its not what you do so much as how you do it. One of the things about apes is that they can easily become the "all you see" feature of your motorcycle. If thats what you want em to be, fine, but there are ways of blending em in to the rest of the bike too.
It would be a small thing but I think if he put on the CVO risers the flow of the bars would look better. As I've said before, it would suck if all of our bikes look the same. More power to him.

I agree. Like putting so much chrome on a bike you can't see the bike. I guy around here had everything thing that could possibly be chromed on his Breakout done. Way overboard but his bike.
I rode a 2018 Breakout - this bike is ugly compared to 2017 Breakout the fuel tank is so ugly on the 2018 !
The bike reminds me of a person with big butt and very skinny body without muscles.
That is the reason why I bought a 2016 model because the dealer didn't have a new one anymore and I had to wait for the 2018 model. I saw a preview somewere and that let me decide to go for a second hand one.
