,,,,,,,,Northface Base Camp bag straps to it beautifully and makes a killer backrest.
I get the same benefit with my 17 gal Sea to Summit roll top rubberized wet sack. Roll top fits over top of Sissy bar and bottom attaches with bungee. Attach / detach in seconds and it actually holds "air" for a comfy backrest when touring.
Is there a significant difference in handling with a 260mm tire? Don't want to compromise my riding as much. i like to ride a little more on the aggressive side.

I would say, for aggresive ride the 260 is even better since it's around a bit more ... for faster cornering

If comparing apples to apples, say a Metzeler 880 260mm to a Metzeler 880 240mm, then NO....BUT, if comparing it to the stock piece of crap Dunlop, then YES, the handling will be MUCH better!!

Right on. I'm looking at the ME880 and ME888. The look of the 260 sure does look nice. I'm not a fan of sacrificing riding comfort for aesthetic purposes. So that's why I ask. Thanks for the input!
Based on a couple of delamination posts and wear issues personally if I was sat where you are I would consider something else than a Brazilian made Metzeler unless you can source one made elsewhere. Pirelli Night Dragons or an Avon Cobra perhaps? Have a dig around the forum. I have a Metzeler but only done a couple of thousand miles on it with no issues and seems to be wearing ok, mine was made in Germany.

The last 2 I've ordered were made in Germany, but yes I would make sure before ordering, I wouldn't run the Brazilian tire either...
I think I'll try the Avon Cobra Chrome next time, I've heard good things, and it's now available in a 260mm!!
