I park my bike and leave it in gear so i only start it in gear with clutch in. If you cant start the bike in gear something is up
Yeah that's what I mean. I have to go to neutral before it will start now, even with the clutch pulled in. I put some Kury levers on and I'm thinking that maybe something isn't jiving with the clutch switch. I can see that it is pushing the switch, but maybe not far enough?
*EDIT* That's what it was.. I just put a little rubber bumper pad that I had in my parts cabinet on the back of the lever so it would depress the switch more. I'm glad I wasn't going crazy(er).

Agree, however I changed my shift rod and lever and now need to start in neutral 90% of time due to it not being exactly adjusted correct. Did you change rod or lever??
I haven't had to try it yet, but I believe that is true. I think it is that way because if a rider accidentally stalls the bike while letting out the clutch, he or she doesn't need the extra stress, in traffic, of locating neutral again before trying to restart the bike.

Stress?? I call that a "learning curve".. LOL. You do that once and well, you rarely do it again
Glad to assist!! hey I'm being nice, I could start out talking motor upgrades. LOL
Yeh it seems that particular lever gets sold out a lot- try google for that custom chrome part number, there has got to be at least one site that has it- but they do come back on ebay pretty regularly. They are made pretty well and I can't find a single thing bad to say about them. same wide grip and ergo geometry as the stockers.
BTW I masked off the bike and used some satin enamel to paint the clutch yoke black (the clutch cable part that sits inside the clutch lever and is visible, plain metal color) as well as the brake line banjo bolt. now it all looks nice and slick black .
Quick question guys- I noticed my electrical light coming on once in a while yesterday but only when bike is running and stopped (indicator #4 in picture) - like at a stoplight. it turns off when I start moving. if I revved the RPM bit while stopped it did not make a difference light stayed on. I do not have the HD alarm system on bike.
I recently disconnected and removed the front turn signals, and the rears are running 1156 red LED bulbs. But I had it this way for about 2 weeks and did not see this red light until just yesterday. Any ideas?
Mine has been doing that since I removed my rear turns and added the LED strip on the fender. I'm not sure what is up...
cool- thanks for that note. Thinking.. it must be a can-bus error signal flicking the light on. I'll try adding in two resistor load equalizers to the system and see if that fixes it.
hey what did you put in the fender strut holes after you removed the rear turn signals? I wanted to do that but did not want to have open ugly oval holes.

Nothing yet
I have been meaning to mess with it but got busy with other stuff... One of these days I'll make some little plates out of some metal stock and grind it down to flush mount somehow.
