I have been meaning to mess with it but got busy with other stuff... One of these days I'll make some little plates out of some metal stock and grind it down to flush mount somehow.
lol- yep i understand how that goes. Might be a good reason to buy that Heartland bobbed fender kit eh? Local HD shop just did one on a 2014 BO and they were telling me how easy it was to install.
Other options - cut that part off the rear struts, re-radius the ends and powdercoat black.
cut some pieces of black 1/4" ABS plastic or plexiglass, grind to fit, paint and insert with some double stick tape.
...
hey what did you put in the fender strut holes after you removed the rear turn signals? I wanted to do that but did not want to have open ugly oval holes.
Why don't you try the recess covers (Dyna Recess Cover p/n 47531-06), see pic....
I'm finally healed up well enough for short rides. Today I noticed some feedback from the rear tire especially at full lean angle. I took a look at the tire while riding a noticed a moderate wobble. I didn't notice it before adding Shotguns but I can't imagine how that would cause a noticeable wheel/tire wobble. Has anybody else experienced this?
cool- thanks for that note. Thinking.. it must be a can-bus error signal flicking the light on. I'll try adding in two resistor load equalizers to the system and see if that fixes it.

That's exactly what it is. Mine does this as well. No need for resistors, it won't hurt anything.

hey glad to hear that- must have felt good being out on the bike. Are you sure you didn't have some dog crap stuck to the tire? LOL
Check ur tire pressure, and put bike up on a center stand / rotate wheel and inspect for any cracks or bubbles, missing wheel weights.
I can tell you the wide *** flat face of the rear tire will tend to follow road imperfections and you'll feel that quite handily. especially if the pressure is low even a couple lbs.
Hows ur front forks? the front suspension pisses me off to no end. really scary **** hitting bumps at speed (and even slow, for that matter). I gotta do something about this soon.
pics below of my black 5 hole levers and black axle caps. the caps are NICE!!! $55 shipped for both caps. order from Steven Hammer at www.hammercustomcycles.com - you need a 1 - 3/16" cap for the round end of axle, and a 1 - 1/16" for the 5 point hex bolt. the caps secure with recessed alan and they are powdercoated aluminum in semi gloss black. they fit really well, and cheap price for the quality IMO. Steven sent me a 1" cap and it would not fit on the hex nut until I filed down the points on the hex nut. no big deal- 3 minutes with a dremel
Looks great man! I'm also not a huge fan of axle caps but the overall look is solid. The blinker delete, black levers and mirrors really tidy up the front. Are you going to buy a real wheel to match? Lower the rear?
