Looks great man! I'm also not a huge fan of axle caps but the overall look is solid. The blinker delete, black levers and mirrors really tidy up the front. Are you going to buy a real wheel to match? Lower the rear?
You know I thought about doing the rear wheel but heck you can't really even tell unless you look close. plus the HD rear wheel is a nice design anyway. I'd rather put $$ towards go-fast parts and suspension.
I'm finally healed up well enough for short rides. Today I noticed some feedback from the rear tire especially at full lean angle. I took a look at the tire while riding a noticed a moderate wobble. I didn't notice it before adding Shotguns but I can't imagine how that would cause a noticeable wheel/tire wobble. Has anybody else experienced this?[/quot]
hey glad to hear that- must have felt good being out on the bike. Are you sure you didn't have some dog crap stuck to the tire? LOL
Check ur tire pressure, and put bike up on a center stand / rotate wheel and inspect for any cracks or bubbles, missing wheel weights.
I can tell you the wide *** flat face of the rear tire will tend to follow road imperfections and you'll feel that quite handily. especially if the pressure is low even a couple lbs.
Hows ur front forks? the front suspension pisses me off to no end. really scary **** hitting bumps at speed (and even slow, for that matter). I gotta do something about this soon.
Sorry man, I just noticed that you took the time to respond to my question. I don't have any wheel weights on the rear wheel which I thought was unusual. Like I said there's a visible wobble to the rear tire while cruising down the street. It's not extreme but definitely noticeable. Just enough to bother the s#$* out of me! The forks do suck but that's not the problem, and they suit me fine for cruising around town. Let me know what you end up doing with yours. Anyway, I'll just have to stealership take a look at the rear wheel/tire whenever I take in for the 1000 mile maintenance.
