About the chin spoiler thing...anybody else think it makes the bike look like it has a radiator?
I'm always looking for ways to rip things off the bike & clean up the lines...the P-pad and passenger pegs got axed on Day One. Other pieces have been ditched along the way. The horn and ABS are going soon.
The big fight is gonna be with relocating the voltage regulator somehow...maybe

The horn is required to pass a safety inspection. Also, if you don't have one and have an accident where a horn could have helped prevent it, you may be held partially liable even if the fault was otherwise the other driver's. And, that horn could indeed save your life some day.
As for the ABS, removing that seems like a bad safety idea too. Plus, you'll need to figure out how to get the bike's ECM to accept its no longer being there, which could be a problem.

I'm 100% of the same opinion as Jim. There are things that can be dumped and othere things that can but certainly never should be dumped. While the horn might be a rather minor thing unless it's mandatory by traffic regulations the ABS definitely is something that may save your health if not your life. Plus as Jim said it might even be impossible to remove it from the bile due to the ECM requiring it to be operative.
No horn/inspection required in my part of the USA. Aint Freedom GREAT? ...and I've never used it. I don't know what it sounds like. It's going.
I've got 20k miles on this bike - never activated the ABS. I see it as clutter and unnecessary weight. You guys know they built the FXSB without it for a year or two, right? Ditching it is just a matter of unplugging and removing the pumps, then swapping out the ABS specific brake lines for a set of the NON-ABS lines and bleeding the system. Easy. Maybe the ABS light will come on...ripping out the bulb will fix that.
I doubt the bike will be affected in any other way. To test my theory, I'll yank the fuse for the system before going crazy tearing the bike apart.

Don't matter if you didn't have the ABS kickin' in for 20K miles.....the one time you'll need it to save your butt still lies ahead.
The Breakout came w/o the ABS when it was released as MY 2013 but it was available as an add-on. Ever since MY 2014 it was standard. There must be a reason why today's bikes usually come with ABS!?
But do as you like...removing that huge amount of weight surely will improve the bike's performance significantly
I wonder how insurance treats an motorcycle accident if they find that safety features were removed? Could be a sticky situation there whether it may or may not have helped either way.
